Join us for our 2nd Annual Strawberry Moon GLOW Paddle on Mountain Island Lake! Mountain Island Lake Paddle Co is joining forces with Aloha Paddle LKN and Catawba Paddle Co to offer an enchanting event under the full moon's glow. This is a FREE event to participate in, we have rentals available for a small fee if you need equipment. We highly encourage you to light up your paddleboards and kayaks as much as possible, it creates the best sight out on the lake under the moon with all the bright, lit-up paddlers! We will be guiding the group out into the main channel where we can meet and mingle. The event will end around 10pm.

When: June 21st

Location: Neck Road Boat Ramp, Duke Access Road, Huntersville, NC 28078

Time: Launch @ 7:30 pm (sunset is 8:41 pm with the moon rising at 9:08 pm) ARRIVE EARLY

Rental Rates: $35 for a single kayak or paddleboard and $45 for a tandem kayak from 7:30 pm - 10 pm

Safety is our top priority, so please remember to bring your essential REQUIRED safety equipment, including a PFD (personal flotation device), whistle, and lights (one white light is required by law, headlamps work great). We encourage you to deck out your equipment with as many lights as possible for added visibility and a touch of whimsy!

Please arrive early to find parking and set up your GLOW paddleboard and kayaks, last year's event had over 200 participants!
